ETA: The winner was announced on Feb. 13: thebruce. Congrats to him, and thanks to all who entered!
Man, Santa Claus giveth...and Santa Claus taketh away.
Actually, it wasn't really Santa that gaveth, it was my "emergency" credit card. And the takething is being done by the recipient of said credit card's bill, my Mom.
That's right, Mom was none too pleased to find out that I'd spent upwards of two bills on "a stupid plastic piece of crap" (in actuality, an extremely limited-edition collectible piece from a major artist...eh, you say tomato...)
Anyway, I have to box up all of my CZ collectibles and start justifying the oh-so-useful education that I sold my soul for, because "big boys don't play with toys." In the spirit of the season, and because it breaks my heart to think of these treasures rotting away in a cardboard box, I've decided to give away one of my precious Bigfoot collectibles at random when I get back to school next month.
Shoot me a private message with your name and mailing address to be entered in the drawing for your CHOICE of one (just ONE, I ain't Santa!) of these two action figures:
The "Bigfoot One" figure, by the SF graffiti artist of the same name, or the "Bionic Bigfoot" action figure, one of the most sought-after collectibles from the Six-Million Dollar Man series, towering at almost 18" tall!
No, I'm not giving away any of my sea monster stuff right now...baby steps, folks, baby steps...
Newbies, don't worry, I promise I won't pick the winner until I'm back in NYC, and I'm sure it'll take me a day or two after I get back to actually get my butt in gear, so go ahead and register for the forums and shoot me a PM once they're open again.
Ho to the ho-ho and happy holidays!

Hey, frogbiter! Yeah, I'm back, for the time being, anyhow. Glad to see you're still around, buddy.
I'm still taking entries for the random drawing for a few more days, if anybody else wants to private msg. me with their name and address. So far, your chances look pretty decent, though, froggie.

Glad you like my back, too, I just had it waxed.

Just out of curiosity, where did you get the one you have on top? It looks familiar but I can't place it.

Yeah, he's pretty rad, huh Phaetor? It's from a San Fran graffiti artist named Bigfoot One. I'd been drooling over it for months.

That makes sense, I'm sure I saw it on a skateboard or something.

Hey guys, if you're interested in winning one of these two figures, then private message me by this Friday, February 9, 5:00PM EST.
I won't accept any more entries after that...unless you deliver your info in person to Sun-Yi's screening on Monday.

How did I miss seeing this? Darn I talked to Sun-Yi at the screening but didn't give her my info. I got a wonderful poster though so I can't complain. But these guys look pretty cute.

Ooh nice, not a bad consolation prize there, rose.
But the winner of the Derek C. Young My-Pain-Is-Your-Gain Action Figure Giveaway is...
thebruce!
Congrats, man, I know you will give him a good home. *sniff* Just gimme a minute to say goodbye, will ya?
Oh yeah, and lest anybody out there accuse me of favoritism, the drawing was completely random and done by a neutral 3rd party. Thanks, Amie!
